Revamping its image
‘True Blood’ star Alexander Skarsgård is making Comic-Con cool
Comic-Con … it’s not just for nerds anymore.
This year’s San Diego convention celebrating the world of comic books, anime, gaming and all things fetishized by virgins and eggheads was teeming with anything but, with the likes of Justin Timberlake and “True Blood” hunk Alexander Skarsgård trolling the stalls this weekend.
Flash caught up with Skarsgård at Miramax’s Comic-Con party for its films “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” and “Drive,” and asked the vampire portrayer if a recent nude scene meant his “True Blood” producers were exploiting his well-muscled body.
“Well, I’ll leave that up to your imagination,” Skarsgard said.
Is that a reference to off-screen shenanigans? The Swedish meatball didn’t say, and instead carried on with his wingman, “Kill Your Darlings” director Björne Larson.

Alex Saying Naughty Bits At Comic Con Panel
Alex: I was working on a show called “Generation Kill” in Mozambique. And so I was in Maputo, and a friend taped me and sent it to Alan from Maputo. That’s how it started.
Kristin: Did you just say Maputo? What is that?
Alex: You can say “My puto” here.
Kristin: Really? I don’t think so. It says here there’s going to be people under 18 here.
Alex: Oh shit, oh…. The capital of Mozambique is not shit, it’s Maputo.
